my story

I've been drawing for as long as I can remember—starting at the age of three, it quickly became more than just a hobby. I would draw obsessively, filling pages with characters, animals, people, and entire worlds, often turning them into comic strips and story-driven illustrations. Creating art felt completely natural to me, and it became an integral part of how I explored and understood the world.

As I got older, friends, family, and others began to ask me to create artwork for them. At first, I didn’t think much of it—drawing had always just been something I did—but gradually I realised that this passion could become something more. I began taking on commissions and slowly built up a practice around illustration, bringing people’s ideas to life through bespoke and meaningful artwork.

Over the years, I've worked on a wide range of creative commissions, from wedding artwork and personalised occasion cards to album covers and unique gifts. Clients have included Fenwick, Pentawards, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Rebecca Nash, The Lapworth Museum of Geology, Joe Broughton’s Conservatoire Folk Ensemble, and my own band, Threaded.

A particular highlight has been collaborating with author and friend Jo Walter on five self-published children’s books, including the Jazz in the Jungle trilogy and two bedtime stories in The Great Mooncat Collection. I also enjoy creating illustrated advent calendars annually on my social media—bringing a little magic and storytelling into the festive season.

I'm now looking forward to diving back into illustration work and developing some exciting new projects that are currently in the pipeline. There’s plenty more to come!
