where it began
'I was looking for inspiration to draw after a long period of time where I felt stagnant in my progress and skills. I couldn't muster much from my imagination that I felt satisfied with and was moving me forward. Having always been a social person and much preferring working with others than just myself, to have people involved in being part of creating something new seemed the right thing to do next. So I called upon the world on something very simple, that would turn into a very inspirational journey. Asking people what their favourite words are, brought in an incredibly interesting few days where I collected over 100 words, some I'd never heard of, some that were very long or very simple, and all showing a little corner into someone's mind. Having the outside world involved makes it a personal project to you and me, whilst uniting everybody over a mutual celebration of language.
'We are far more united and have far more in common with each other than that which divides us.'
- Jo Cox (1974 - 2016)
