I am an Illustrator and Musician living in the heart of Birmingham, UK.
My life consists of touring with Joe Broughton's Conservatoire Folk Ensemble, Threaded & Riot Quartet around the country, drawing drawing drawing, and working at Adam's in Birmingham. The things I love include dreaming of owning a kitten one day, exercising, herbal tea, writing thoughts, sitting in coffee shops and organising my life, festivals, and friends.
Inspired by the world around me, the things I see every day and the people I meet, I have developed my illustrations over the years into a variety of styles which have allowed me to explore my visual imagination. I use ink and sometimes watercolour as my medium, working with these two simple materials to create colourful worlds and more eccentric abstract ideas. I commonly work in a loose cartoon style but am always exploring new techniques with my own skills. Through this I try to invoke a range of emotions and create stories or scenes. I often work on ideas spontaneously leading to the creation of unique characters, moments of humour, mischief and whimsical playfulness.
Currently I am using direct inspirations from the people around me in my new project 'Words We Love', where I hope to progress in my skills as an artist.
I also love to work with shapes and lines, creating small details to make up a bigger picture using inspirations from nature. I like to be versatile and experiment with projects that challenge and develop my skills as an artist.
I love to face-paint and get glittered up in the warm summers and dance all night long.
